Amends Social Services Law Section 104-b to apply public assistance liens to workers' compensation claims and awards, while excluding volunteer firefighters' benefit law and volunteer ambulance workers' benefit law claims.

Modifies Workers' Compensation Law Section 33 to make compensation and benefits subject to claims for public assistance reimbursement filed by social services officials for the covered period when assistance was paid.

Requires workers' compensation insurers or self-insured employers to receive a copy of the reimbursement claim from the social services official before the award is made, or the board's decision must direct such reimbursement.

Amends Workers' Compensation Law Section 13 to allow social services districts to recover payments made for medical and hospital services on behalf of injured employees, with the same reimbursement procedures and limits as insurers and health benefits plans.

Takes effect January 1, 2015.
