Authorizes the New York State Urban Development Corporation to provide competitive STEM grants to school districts and boards of cooperative educational services for grades 6-12 programs in public and private schools (excluding schools under Article 56 of Education Law)

Grant-funded programs must include career exploration activities, technical skills training, and partnerships with postsecondary education and training institutions

Grants shall be awarded for recurring five-year periods, with the Corporation chairperson evaluating effectiveness based on criteria developed with the State Education Department Commissioner

Evaluation criteria must measure the number of women and minority students in STEM programs before and after the grant period, and track postsecondary enrollment and employment in mathematics, science, technology, health, and licensed professions for at least two years

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
