Mandates the Office of Fire Prevention and Control prepare and distribute written materials that detail benefits of fire sprinkler systems and factors affecting installation and maintenance costs

Allows buyers to request installation of an automatic fire sprinkler system at the buyer's expense, which the builder must provide upon request

Takes effect 120 days after enactment, with the Office of Fire Prevention and Control authorized to begin preparing required materials immediately

Expires and repeals automatically upon adoption of equivalent provisions in the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code requiring fire sprinklers in one- or two-family dwellings under three stories
