Requires all individual health insurance policies providing medical coverage with physician office visits or major medical/comprehensive coverage to include ostomy equipment and supplies (flanges, collection bags, clamps, irrigation devices, sanitizing products, ostomy rings, and ostomy belts) when prescribed by a physician or other licensed health care provider

Applies the same ostomy coverage requirement to group and blanket accident and health insurance policies issued or delivered in New York State

Applies the requirement to medical expense indemnity corporations and health service corporations offering medical coverage with physician office visits or major medical/comprehensive coverage

Directs the Commissioner of the Department of Health to establish and periodically update a list of additional ostomy equipment and supplies deemed medically necessary for ostomy treatment that insurers must also cover

Takes effect January 1 following the bill's enactment and applies to all policies and contracts issued, renewed, modified, altered, or amended on or after that date
