Local social services districts must notify the Office of Children and Family Services at least 60 days before lowering financial eligibility levels for child care assistance subsidies.

The Office of Children and Family Services must post notice of proposed eligibility changes on its website within 5 days and notify all licensed, registered, and legally-exempt child care providers within 20 days.

Child care providers receiving notice must immediately post it in a visible location for families and certified employee organizations must post notices on their official websites.

Local social services districts must also notify the Office of Children and Family Services at least 60 days before increasing parental co-payment multipliers for child care assistance, with the same notification requirements to providers and agencies.

The act takes effect on January 1 following the date it becomes law.
