Amends Town Law Section 176, Subdivision 11-b to allow the Caton Fire District to hold meetings for nomination of fire chief and assistant chiefs on the second Tuesday in December instead of April

Fire department members can adopt a resolution recommending the December meeting date, and the board of fire commissioners can then adopt a rule or regulation to implement this change

Provides the Caton Fire District the same flexibility already available to the Davis Park fire department, which can hold nominations on the last Sunday in September

Allows fire departments to revert back to April meetings by adopting a subsequent resolution recommending the return to the original schedule under existing provisions

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
