Amends Public Officers Law Section 96 to allow disclosure of personal records to New York City public retirement systems without requiring written consent from the data subject

Permits record disclosure when necessary for retirement systems to process benefits under the Retirement and Social Security Law, Administrative Code of the City of New York, Education Law, or other applicable law

Eliminates the requirement for written request or consent from employees for disclosure of their records to NYCRS for benefit processing purposes

Takes effect immediately upon enactment

Expected to result in more efficient and less costly administration of the NYC Retirement Systems with no change to pension benefit actuarial values or employer contributions
