Commissioner of the Division of Criminal Justice Services, in consultation with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, shall review information technology systems used to locate missing children with developmental disabilities and recommend creation of a statewide communication program

Review shall include survey of local government locator systems (GPS, radiotermination, telemetry, satellite positioning), coordination of information sharing, standardized processes for establishing systems, synchronization methods, and law enforcement response procedures

Review findings and recommendations shall be reported to the governor, senate temporary president, and assembly speaker within 120 days of enactment

Department of Financial Services, in consultation with Department of Health, shall study health insurance coverage of locator technology systems for children with developmental disabilities when deemed medically necessary

Department of Financial Services shall report findings and coverage recommendations to state leadership and relevant legislative committees within 180 days, including analysis of current coverage, premium impacts, and state costs
