Commissioner of Transportation must develop a plan by January 1, 2015, in conjunction with the Commissioner of Developmental Disabilities and in consultation with consumer groups and transportation providers for an integrated transportation demonstration program.

Plan must identify local transportation providers, recommend regulatory changes to enable agency coordination, address public safety and service duplication, and recommend shared software systems to track services and manage costs.

Commissioner of Transportation shall establish an integrated transportation demonstration program in five state locations, with four locations including counties with populations of 200,000 or fewer according to the 2010 census.

Transportation providers in each demonstration location must study how coordination between human service agencies can increase transportation accessibility for supported employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Transportation providers must report findings on cost benefits, transportation quality, client access, and individual outcomes to both commissioners, who shall jointly evaluate and report results to the Governor and Legislature.
