Amends New York Elder Law by establishing a new Senior Center Council consisting of ten members appointed by the Director, who serves as chair.

Council members must have experience operating senior centers and providing services, with membership broadly representative of older adult groups and all geographic areas of the state; at least two members must be over age sixty-two.

Members receive no compensation but are reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in performing their duties.

Council purposes include providing a forum for discussing senior center challenges, sharing information on efficient operations, encouraging effective programs, creating peer support, and offering recommendations for state support and reducing service delivery barriers.

Act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
