Amends village law to allow village boards of trustees to appoint one student representative in addition to the four trustees normally required.

Student representative must be a high school senior from a school district located wholly or partly within the village.

Term of service begins July 1 before the senior year and ends June 30 of the following year, with vacancies fillable by the board for the remainder of the term.

Student representative may attend all public board meetings and participate in hearings but cannot vote, attend executive sessions, or receive compensation.

Appointment authorized by board resolution or local law and takes effect immediately upon enactment.
