Adds new Penal Law Section 265.18 establishing enhanced sentencing for criminal possession of a weapon (Penal Law §265.04, §265.03, §265.02) or criminal sale of a firearm (§265.16, §265.14, §265.13, §265.12, §265.11) committed at a dwelling where a child under 14 years old is domiciled

Requires an additional consecutive sentence of 2.5 years to the minimum term when the crime is committed at such residence

Increases the additional consecutive sentence to no less than 5 years if a child under 14 was present at the dwelling or within the curtilage at the time of the crime

Allows courts to decline imposing the additional sentence if they find on the record that it would be unduly harsh and not imposing it would be consistent with public safety and the seriousness of the crime

Requires the defendant to serve the entire aggregate minimum term without eligibility for parole or conditional release during that period; effective November 1 following enactment
