Authorizes the Nassau County assessor to accept a late application for real property tax exemption from the Academy Charter School for a parcel located at 117 North Franklin Street, Hempstead (section 34, block 291, lot 88)

Allows the application to be reviewed for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 assessment rolls as if it had been filed by the appropriate taxable status date

Permits the assessor to grant the exemption upon approval of the Nassau County legislature if the organization qualifies under section 420-a of the real property tax law

Authorizes the county to refund any taxes paid and cancel unpaid taxes, fines, penalties, interest, or tax liens related to the subject parcel, at the discretion of the governing body or tax department

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
