Establishes geology as a licensed profession in New York State, adding it to Article 145 of the Education Law alongside engineering and land surveying with a state board composed of at least two professional geologists.

Requires professional geologists to have a bachelor's degree or higher in geological sciences, five years of practical experience (with up to one year credited for advanced degrees), pass an examination, be at least 21 years old, demonstrate good moral character, and pay a $220 licensing fee and $210 triennial registration fee.

Allows applicants with 12 years of practical geological experience to substitute for the degree and experience requirements, and permits geologists to practice without examination if they apply within one year of the law's effective date and meet educational requirements.

Authorizes professional geologists to use a sealed stamp on geological drawings and reports, limits the title "Professional Geologist" to licensed practitioners, and allows geologists to form joint enterprises and professional service corporations with engineers, land surveyors, architects, and landscape architects.

Exempts from licensing requirements certain geological work performed by professional engineers, land surveyors, state employees, educational institutions, water well drillers, and other natural scientists, provided they do not hold themselves out as professional geologists.
