Adds two new assault provisions to Penal Law section 120.05 targeting assaults on New York City Housing Authority employees performing lawful duties on housing project grounds or authority-owned/managed property

Subdivision 3-B: Establishes assault charge when someone causes physical injury to a NYCHA employee with intent to prevent them from performing their lawful duties

Subdivision 11-B: Establishes assault charge when someone causes physical injury to a NYCHA employee with intent to cause that injury while they perform lawful duties

Does not supersede existing penal law provisions applicable to assaults on police, peace, or special officers employed by NYCHA or other public employers

Becomes effective thirty days after enactment
