Director of the Office for the Aging is authorized to establish a regrant program using appropriated funds to support programs and activities not directly funded by the Office or that constitute one-time events or short-term needs

Only designated agencies as defined in Elder Law Section 214 may apply for regrant program funding

Applicants must demonstrate program summary, scope of activity, staffing and budget (with administrative costs capped at 15 percent of project costs), marketing/outreach strategies, local selection processes, and evaluation methods

The Office may contract with designated agencies to administer funding and provide technical assistance through the regrant program

The act takes effect immediately upon enactment
