Any New York State resident may request a distinctive "Brooklyn Nets" license plate with a design approved by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles.

Applicants must submit their request in the form and detail prescribed by the Commissioner.

The distinctive license plate is issued upon payment of the regular vehicle registration fee plus an additional annual service charge of $25.

The license plate is issued in the same manner as standard number plates.

The act takes effect 180 days after becoming law, with rules and regulations able to be implemented immediately upon enactment.
