Requires all individual health insurance policies with medical coverage or major medical coverage to include coverage for ostomy equipment and supplies (flanges, collection bags, clamps, irrigation devices, sanitizing products, ostomy rings, and ostomy belts) if prescribed by a physician or licensed health care provider.

Applies the same ostomy equipment and supply coverage requirement to group and blanket accident and health insurance policies issued in New York.

Applies the coverage requirement to medical expense indemnity corporations and health service corporations.

Directs the Commissioner of the Department of Health to establish and periodically update by regulation a list of additional ostomy equipment and related supplies deemed medically necessary for ostomy treatment that must also be covered.

Takes effect January 1st following enactment and applies to all policies and contracts issued, renewed, modified, altered, or amended on or after that date.
