Authorizes the village of Tuckahoe to make the optional retirement plan under Section 384-d of the Retirement and Social Security Law available to police officer Christopher J. Santiago, who missed the original enrollment deadline through no fault of his own.

Police officer Santiago must have been employed by the village on August 4, 2008 and currently covered under Section 375-i of the Retirement and Social Security Law to be eligible.

Santiago may elect coverage under Section 384-d by filing a request with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date and will receive full rights and benefits associated with that coverage.

The village of Tuckahoe must bear all past service costs, estimated at approximately $9,950 as a one-time payment, plus approximately $8,900 in increased annual contributions for fiscal year 2015.

The act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
