Amends Public Health Law Section 4141 to require medical certificates include a determination of whether the deceased suffered sudden, unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP), with standards established by the Commissioner.

Amends Public Health Law Section 4210 to require every autopsy investigation include determination of whether the deceased suffered SUDEP, with standards established by the Commissioner.

Mandates reporting to the Department within three business days if an autopsy determines the deceased suffered sudden, unexpected death in epilepsy.

Takes effect 180 days after becoming law, with authority for the Commissioner to establish necessary rules and regulations immediately upon enactment.
