Village of Norwood authorized to lease waterfront park land to Clarkson University for up to 25 years for rowing activities.

Village must dedicate funds equal to or greater than the fair market value of the lease toward acquiring additional waterfront park land or making capital improvements to existing waterfront park and recreational facilities.

Lease property (approximately 0.23 acres near a boathouse in the Norwood Recreation Park) reverts to the village if no longer used for the authorized purposes and must be restored to its previous condition.

Leased land must remain available to the general public on an equitable basis, with public use given priority when availability is limited.

If the park land received federal land and water conservation fund support, the village must comply with federal conversion requirements and obtain approval from the Secretary of the Interior before discontinuing park use.
