Johnson City central school district must repay up to $1,989,867 in excess state building aid payments made in various school years

Repayment will occur through deductions of one-sixth of the excess amount from state aid payments due in June of each year from 2014 through 2019

No interest penalties will be assessed against the district or collected by the state

Any pending prior year adjustment payments owed to the district will be reduced by the remaining unrecovered balance of excess payments, and scheduled deductions will be adjusted accordingly by the commissioner of education

The act takes effect immediately
