Grants retroactive Tier V membership status in the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System to four Village of Green Island recreation assistants (Kirsten Mason, Laura Strizzi, Christian Ward, and Austin Horton) whose applications were delayed due to administrative errors.

Each employee must file an application with the state comptroller by December 31, 2014 to receive Tier V status retroactive to their original employment dates (July 5, 2010 for three employees; July 5, 2011 for Austin Horton).

Employees are not eligible for refunds of contributions already made to the retirement system.

Village of Green Island bears all past service costs, estimated at approximately $320 as a one-time payment and approximately $130 in increased annual contributions for fiscal year ending March 31, 2015.
