Commissioner of the Division of Criminal Justice Services, in consultation with the Commissioner of the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, shall review information technology systems used for locating missing children with developmental disabilities, including GPS, radio termination technology, telemetry, and satellite positioning systems

Review shall analyze coordination of information sharing among entities using locator systems, standardize processes for establishing locator systems, synchronize systems statewide, and develop appropriate law enforcement response procedures for missing children with developmental disabilities

Review findings and recommendations shall be published in a report submitted to the Governor, temporary president of the Senate, and Speaker of the Assembly within 120 days of enactment

Superintendent of the Department of Financial Services, in consultation with the Commissioner of the Department of Health, shall study health insurance coverage of locator technology systems for children with developmental disabilities when deemed necessary by treating physicians or licensed health care providers

Department of Financial Services shall consult with stakeholders and submit a report within 180 days of enactment detailing whether insurance coverage is feasible, the extent of coverage needed, and the impact on premiums and state costs
