Public officers and employees of the state, counties, community colleges, public authorities, municipalities, school districts, and employees of the New York state and local employees' retirement system and New York state teachers' retirement system are entitled to paid excused leave for prostate cancer screenings.

Employees may take up to four hours of paid leave annually for prostate cancer screening purposes.

Leave granted under this section shall not be charged against any other leave entitlements the employee would otherwise have available.

Removes the prior exemption that prevented this leave entitlement from applying to employees of cities with a population of one million or more.
