New York City Police Department must submit annual reports to the City Council detailing criminal complaints and arrests on subway lines and bus routes operated by NYC Transit Authority or Staten Island Rapid Transit Operating Authority

Reports must categorize crimes by class including violent felonies, assault, sex offenses, disorderly conduct, harassment, aggravated harassment, and offenses against public sensibilities as defined in New York State Penal Law

Crime data must be broken down by police precinct, specific subway line, subway transit division, and bus route, with separate tabulations for transit employees, passengers, and other non-employees

Statistics must be compiled monthly and annually, maintained in electronic format, and made available to the public on the Department of Records and Information Services website within 90 days of the law's effective date, then updated at least monthly

Act takes effect immediately upon enactment
