Increases weekly permanent total disability benefits for volunteer firefighters from four hundred dollars to six hundred dollars per week.

Applies the increased benefit amount to weekly benefit periods that commence after January 1, 2017.

Maintains existing provisions that volunteer firefighters with loss or total loss of use of both eyes, hands, arms, feet, legs, or any two thereof cannot have benefits reduced by income from business or employment, provided combined weekly earnings and benefits do not exceed eight hundred dollars.

Ensures the increased benefits do not result in reduction of benefits that injured volunteer firefighters would otherwise be entitled to under other provisions of the law.
