Eliminates work experience programs in New York State and removes all provisions authorizing social services districts to operate such programs.

Replaces work experience with a list of voluntary activities recipients can choose from to improve employment opportunities, including unsubsidized employment, job training, education, and community service.

Requires participants in community service activities to be allowed to choose their work location and limits hours based on assistance amount divided by minimum wage, not to exceed 40 hours per week.

Repeals Section 336-c of the Social Services Law, which previously established work experience program requirements, safeguards, and reporting procedures.

Takes effect January 1st following enactment into law.
