Authorizes Lois J. Reid to reapply for ordinary disability retirement benefits from the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System for the period from June 19, 1992 through March 1, 2003.

Reid must file a written request with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date to be eligible for reapplication.

Reid was employed by the Erie County Youth Board (1970) and New York State Department of Social Services (1985) with approximately 17.5 years of retirement system membership.

Reid was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome in 1990 (later identified as mitochondrial disease in 2011) and declared totally and permanently disabled by both New York State and the Social Security Administration.

The state will bear all implementation costs, estimated at approximately $127,000 as a one-time payment to cover the back service disability retirement benefit.
