Mandated reporters must report allegations of reportable incidents immediately to a 911 operator, county district attorney's office, and the vulnerable persons' central register upon discovery

Failure to report suspected abuse or neglect becomes a Class E felony (changed from Class A misdemeanor) for human services professionals, with civil liability and potential termination for all mandated reporters

Prohibits retaliatory personnel actions against employees, agents, vendors or contractors who make reports in good faith or cooperate with investigations

Requires all state and private agencies with mandatory reporters to retrain staff on reporting requirements to 911 and district attorney offices, and replace existing materials with updated 911 reporting posters and wallet cards

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
