Validates and legalizes the employment of individuals as town building inspector, town comptroller, and town administrator of public works in LaGrange, Dutchess County, despite their residency outside the town, retroactively curing violations of state law.

Amends Town Law Section 23 to allow building inspectors, comptrollers, and administrators of public works in LaGrange to not be electors of the town, while maintaining this requirement for all other towns unless otherwise provided by law.

Amends Public Officers Law Section 3 to permit building inspectors, comptrollers, and administrators of public works in LaGrange to reside outside the town, provided they reside within Dutchess County, while requiring these officers in all other towns to be residents of their respective towns unless otherwise provided by law.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
