Authorizes Nicholas Cofield to take the competitive civil service examination for a full-time police officer position with the town of Niagara, Niagara County, notwithstanding section 58 of the civil service law.

Allows Cofield, who has been continuously employed as a part-time police officer by the town of Niagara, to be placed on the eligible list for full-time police officer appointment based on his examination score.

Requires Cofield to comply with all merit and fitness provisions of the civil service law applicable to full-time police officers.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
