Amends Town Law Section 176, Subdivision 23 to modify the process for fire districts selling surplus real and personal property no longer needed for operations.

Increases the threshold for board of fire commissioners approval without voter referendum from $50,000 to $100,000, with a minimum value of $20,000.

Increases the threshold for sales without any proposition or referendum requirement from $10,000 to $20,000.

Allows apparatus or equipment to be used as part payment for new apparatus either through voter-approved propositions or, in some cases, without proposition submission.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
