Prohibits persons convicted of animal cruelty violations under sections 351, 353, 353-a, and 355 of the Agriculture and Markets Law from working as dog control officers, animal control officers, or paid employees or volunteers at animal shelters, pounds, humane societies, animal protective associations, or societies for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

Applies only to convictions occurring on or after the bill's effective date.

Excludes from the volunteer restriction individuals required by court order to perform community service at these establishments.

Makes it a Class A misdemeanor for any dog control officer, animal control officer, paid employee, or volunteer to violate this prohibition.

Takes effect thirty days after becoming law.
