Amends Public Health Law Article 13-B to include regulation of single-purpose day camps alongside overnight, summer day, and traveling summer day camps for children.

Defines "single-purpose day camp" as a property where children under 16 gather for a single indoor or outdoor organized group activity involving significant risk of injury for less than 24 hours between June 1 and September 15, with no overnight accommodations.

Requires single-purpose day camps to obtain permits from health officers and comply with inspection requirements and sanitary code standards.

Mandates that all persons, firms, associations, and corporations operating single-purpose day camps check whether employees or volunteers are listed on the state sex offender registry before they begin work and annually thereafter.

Requires camps to inquire with the Office of Children and Family Services regarding whether prospective employees or volunteers with regular and substantial contact with children are subjects of indicated child abuse and maltreatment reports on the Statewide Central Register.

Takes effect 180 days after becoming law, with rules and regulations to be implemented by that date.
