Amends Civil Service Law Section 7, Subdivision 4 to require the Civil Service Commission President to immediately schedule examinations for child protection services positions upon written request from a municipal civil service commission or personnel officer.

Examinations for child protection services positions must be announced, scheduled, scored, and certified within 60 days.

Child protection services position examinations receive priority over all other requested or scheduled examinations.

Applies regardless of whether an existing civil service list is available or vacant positions currently exist in the classified title.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
