Christopher J. Cady, a police officer with the City of Ithaca Police Department, is authorized to enroll in the optional twenty-five year retirement plan under Section 384 of the Retirement and Social Security Law and receive Tier 3 status.

Cady must file a written request with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date to complete the enrollment change from his current Tier 6 status.

No contributions previously made by Cady to the police and fire retirement system shall be refunded to him under this act.

All costs associated with implementing this act shall be borne by the City of Ithaca, with no estimated increase in annual contributions for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017.

The act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
