Commissioner must submit a biennial report by January 31, 2017, and every odd-numbered year thereafter on homeless students enrolled in public schools.

Report must include academic performance data on statewide assessments, English language proficiency, dropout rates, four-year and five-year adjusted cohort graduation rates, absenteeism, truancy, and suspension/expulsion data.

Data must be disaggregated by student subgroups including race/ethnicity, low-income status, English language learners, migrant students, special education, and gender at state and district levels.

Commissioner must collaborate with community organizations on homelessness to develop a homeless education policy for improving services and support to homeless students and utilizing federal Title I funding.
