Establishes a new crime of "false pretense" under Penal Law Section 190.22, making it illegal to knowingly impersonate another person without consent through the internet or electronic means.

The offense applies when impersonation is done for purposes of harming, intimidating, threatening, or defrauding the impersonated person.

Defines "credible impersonation" as one where another person would reasonably believe the defendant was the impersonated person.

Defines "electronic means" to include accessing another person's email account or social networking profile.

Classifies false pretense as a class D felony, effective November 1 following enactment.
