Amends Criminal Procedure Law Section 216.05 to allow defendants in judicial diversion programs to participate in alcohol and substance abuse treatment in jurisdictions other than where the court is located.

Permits defendants to reside in another jurisdiction while participating in judicial diversion programs, subject to court-approved conditions.

Requires courts to provide notice to the prosecution, treatment provider, defendant, and defendant's counsel when ordering defendant appearances to monitor treatment progress.

Establishes that failure to appear in court as required without reasonable cause constitutes a violation of the judicial diversion program conditions.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
