Authorizes Richard Insogna, Jr. to take the competitive civil service examination for a full-time police officer position with the village of Fort Plain in Montgomery County, notwithstanding civil service law section 58.

Makes Insogna eligible to be placed on the eligible list for appointment as a full-time police officer based on his examination score, despite his current employment as a part-time police officer with the village.

Requires Insogna to remain subject to all merit and fitness provisions of civil service law applicable to full-time police officers.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
