Authorizes the town of Islip assessor to accept a late real property tax exemption application from Iglesia De Dios De Brentwood, Inc. for the 2014-2015 assessment roll for parcels at 125 Emjay Boulevard (tax map 113-2-49.9) and 0 Emjay Boulevard (tax map 113-2-49.8) in Brentwood.

Allows the exemption application to be reviewed as if it were filed by the taxable status date deadline, despite being submitted after that date.

Permits the assessor to grant tax exemption effective from the date the organization acquired the property if it obtained title between two consecutive taxable status dates and would otherwise qualify for exemption.

Authorizes the town board and tax department to refund any taxes already paid for the subject roll and cancel unpaid taxes, fines, penalties, or interest at their discretion.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
