Town of Hyde Park is authorized to grant a permanent easement to the Greenfields Town Water District through Greenfields Park for ownership, construction, and repair of public water supply infrastructure including wells, water mains, electrical lines, and associated equipment.

Upon completion of any repairs or construction activities, the Greenfields Town Water District must restore the surface of the land, which shall continue to be used for park purposes.

Hyde Park must dedicate funds equal to or greater than the fair market value of the easement being conveyed to either acquire new parklands or make capital improvements to existing park and recreational facilities.

If the parklands received any federal funding for purchase, maintenance, or improvement, Hyde Park must comply with all federal requirements for parkland alienation or conversion, including obtaining approval from the Secretary of the Interior that substitute lands are equivalent in fair market value and usefulness.
