Amends Executive Law Section 624 to expand eligibility for burial expense reimbursement to include businesses represented by a person, in addition to individual persons.

Allows businesses that have paid for or incurred burial expenses of a crime victim to receive awards for those expenses.

Clarifies that businesses receiving burial expense reimbursement are not eligible for other types of awards unless they separately qualify under existing eligibility criteria.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment and applies to all claims filed after the law takes effect.
