Validates and legalizes the employment of the town building inspector, comptroller, and administrator of public works in the town of LaGrange, Dutchess County, despite their residency outside the town in violation of existing law.

Amends Town Law Section 23 to allow these three positions in LaGrange to be held by non-residents, provided they are electors of the town.

Amends Public Officers Law Section 3 to permit the building inspector, comptroller, and administrator of public works in LaGrange to reside anywhere in Dutchess County rather than within the town itself.

Limits the residency waiver to LaGrange only; all other towns must continue to follow standard residency requirements for these positions unless otherwise specified by law.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
