Adds "station cleaner" and "terminal cleaner" to the list of transit employees protected under assault in the second degree provisions in Penal Law Section 120.05, subdivision 11.

Extends protection to cleaners employed by any transit agency, authority, or company (public or private) whose operation is authorized by New York State or its political subdivisions.

Defines protected duties for cleaners to include the cleaning of train or bus stations or terminals as assigned duties related to transit operations.

Makes intentional physical injury to station or terminal cleaners while performing assigned duties a Class D felony under assault in the second degree.

Takes effect November 1 following the date the bill becomes law, with contingent effective date provisions if related 2015 legislation has not yet taken effect.
