• Extends the expiration date of provisions governing NYC school district reorganization from June 30, 2016 to June 30, 2019, affecting the board of education structure and community councils.

• Establishes the "Education Investment Incentives Act" allowing taxpayers a 90% tax credit (capped at $1 million) for contributions to public education entities, school improvement organizations, local education funds, and educational scholarship organizations, with credit caps of $150 million (2017), $225 million (2018), and $300 million (2019 onward).
