Amends Criminal Procedure Law Section 2.10(21) to add Monroe County Sheriff's Office employees serving as court security deputies to the definition of peace officers.

Court security deputies gain peace officer status only while serving at Monroe County court facilities.

Firearm authority requires deputies to obtain appropriate licenses under Penal Law Section 400.00; peace officer status does not automatically authorize carrying, possessing, repairing, or disposing of firearms.

Takes effect thirty days after becoming law.
