Department of Transportation shall conduct a study of entrance and exit ramps on the Southern State Parkway in Nassau and Suffolk counties in consultation with the Department of Motor Vehicles, Governor's Traffic Safety Committee, Division of State Police, and local agencies.

Study must evaluate ramp configuration and signage design to assess safety and review incidents of collisions and wrong-way driving on the Parkway.

Study shall examine feasibility of design changes to ramps and signage improvements to increase visibility and reduce collisions and wrong-way driving incidents.

Study must identify federal funding available for highway safety improvement projects.

Commissioner of Transportation must submit detailed findings and recommendations to the Governor, legislature leaders, and transportation committee chairs within two years of the act's effective date.
