Amends New York Town Law Section 176(18) to add a new paragraph authorizing fire districts to expend appropriated revenues for insurance costs related to an enhanced cancer disability benefit program for firefighters.

Allows fire districts to cover the cost of insurance protecting against liability for benefits required under the enhanced cancer disability benefit established in General Municipal Law Section 205-cc.

Permits fire districts that are self-insurers to use appropriated revenues to pay benefits directly under the enhanced cancer disability benefit law rather than purchasing commercial insurance.

Takes effect on the same date and in the same manner as Chapter 334 of the Laws of 2017, with immediate authorization for agencies to adopt necessary rules and regulations for implementation.
